MORE INFORMATION BELOW:
We are having a Halloween Party at Oregon Public House on October 30th! For any of you who haven't heard of Oregon Public House... let me give you a quick rundown.
They are the world's first nonprofit pub, and they are amazing! They give all of their income, after covering their own costs, to other nonprofits! They pick 12 nonprofits a year, and break them out into two groups of 6. When people come into the pub, they can choose to put their own bill towards one of the 6 nonprofits. What they ALSO do... to reach out to other nonprofits, is offer their space for free on Mondays throughout the year. You can then host a party... and you will receive all the profits for that WHOLE day!
So... that is what we are doing! We will receive all of the profits for Monday, October 30th. It is also a way for us to get our foot in the door/get on their radar to possibly be picked as one of the 12 nonprofits for next year. Woo-hoo! SO, we need to show them how amazing, incredible, passionate, and fun we are. Yes! Bring yourselves, people we support, spouses, family, friends, neighbors, and even unsuspecting strangers who seem like they want to have a beer, or a bite to eat, and contribute to a good cause.
Even though it is a pub... goblins and ghouls of all ages are welcome to attend. FACT just had an event there a few months ago... and it is definitely kid friendly.
It will also be taking place just on the bottom floor... so it is completely accessible.
And as is generally the case with Halloween Parties... Costumes are strongly encouraged!
Remember, we get profits from the whole day... so if you can only make it for lunch, or happy hour, that is totally great too.
