The Seven Corners Collaborative is a welcoming community resource, enhancing access to disability services and creating a stronger, collaborative voice for inclusion.
SEVEN CORNERS COLLABORATIVE
The Seven Corners Collaborative addresses the pressing needs within the community in the following ways:
- Increased Capacity to Serve: The Seven Corners Collaborative exhibits an innovative partnership by co-locating multiple non-profits that provide services for people with disabilities and their families. Community Vision, FACT Oregon, Community Pathways, Oregon Council on Development Disabilities, Northwest Access Fund, and Credit Builders Alliance provide wrap-around services in one single location that impact individuals across their life span.
- Access to New Technology: The Assistive Technology Lab educates and equips individuals with life-changing technology. The Lab connects individuals of all ages with tools to utilize when they participate and contribute fully in their home, school, work, and communities.
- Setting a Standard for Accessibility: Constructed using the principles of Universal Design, the building sets a new standard for inclusion and accessibility. Our goal is to show that when accommodations are considered at the onset of a project, when spaces are designed for all from the beginning, accessibility is natural and benefits everyone. When accessibility is done right, everyone can easily use the space, but no one realizes that it is different.
